How to make the banks work FOR the country

Conservatives party it up in Hawaii

How can you help but agree that those rich Democrats that can afford to get an college education are way, way out of touch. It's obvious how close to the real America Republicans are, there's clearly a real connection.

New Mexico saying adios to the banksters

Banks must not be too big to fail or tax payers will always have to bail them out. One way to accomplish this is to reduce the size of banks so if they engage in criminal activity (Bank of America for example) they can go out of business. Progress is being made by pulling money away from banks that never put the law, the country or customers ahead of their short term profits.

New Mexico's state legislature is moving quickly to move its money out of big financial institutions and turn it over to credit unions and community banks.

The state's House of Representatives voted 65-0 this week for a bill that allows the state to move $2 billion - $5 billion of state funds.

The municipal funds bill still must be approved by New Mexico's Senate but passage appears likely. Governor Bill Richardson says he supports the legislation and will sign the bill if it reaches his desk.

Liner Notes - Shout Out Louds - Fall Hard

Shout Out Louds are from Sweden and have apprently been around for some time since this is their third album. This is the first I've heard them and I like what I hear. Fall Hard was produced by Phil Ek who has produced for other groups I like -- Fleet Foxes, The Shinns and Band of Horses. Perhaps that's why this album grabbed my attention. "B"
